Select your
preferred streaming codec plugin - for Shoutcast
streaming, we recommend either the MP3 Normal or aacPlus
codec (if available)
Press OK
A new
window will open
Select your desired
bitrate from the drop down menu called 'format' (all the
mono settings are displayed first, followed by stereo
settings - make sure you select the correct bitrate and
sample settings). if in doubt, please email us for
advice.
On "General
Options" - we recommend you ensure that both
'Auto start encoder after' and 'Auto reconnect encoder
after' are enabled (i.e. ticked)
Now select the tab
marked "Server details"
Under "Server
Port" - enter the server port number as provided
to you by Mouse to Mouse when you signed up to a streaming
campaign.
Under "Server
IP" - enter the server IP address as provided to
you by Mouse to Mouse when you signed up to a streaming
campaign.
Under "password" -
enter the server broadcast password as provided to you by
Mouse to Mouse when you signed up to a streaming campaign.
Under station
details - remember to enter all the required details for
your station (this will show up on Shoutcast's station
directory) -
1) Station name
2) Select a genre that best fits your station
3) remember to enter your station's web address
4) don't worry about AIM, ICQ or IRC channel unless you
specifically want to communicate with your listeners via
these separate programmes.
5) Leave all other settings as they are...i.e. do not
alter.
Press OK
Once you
have completed the above info, your Encoder should attempt to
connect to your Shoutcast server (normally within 5 seconds). If you see errors here, double-check all
the fields in the encoder for typos. Most common reasons for
encodererrors are:
Incorrectly
typed password
Incorrectly
typed IP address
Incorrect
port
No
Description or Genre - if 'Make station public is ticked'
